KRA Electric Vehicle Import Duty Calculator

Electric vehicles can be imported to Kenya and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) provides guidelines on calculating the duty payable. However as of the current KRA CRSP list (last updated in June 2020), the only electric vehicle shown is the Nissan Leaf. Therefore a manual input for CRSP is required for any other electric vehicle.

The value you enter should reflect the purchase price of the vehicle you intend to import. For accurate valuation and guidance on determining the appropriate CRSP value, we recommend consulting with the KRA or your clearing officer. This will ensure the calculation of import duties is as precise as possible based on the vehicle's actual cost.
